Notre Dame School Idichakkaplamood Kerala
An English Medium School in Idichakkaplamoodu was begun on 6th June 2001 in an old factory building with 24 children, at the request of the parishioners and neighbours. Rev. Fr. C. T Raj, the Parish Priest blessed this new initiative.
Sr.Hima, Sr. Vibha and Sr. Sumita were the first teacher
s. Mrs. Vijayakumari, the convent cook was the first Ayah. 24th August 2002 : The foundation stone was laid for the School by Sr. Anima, the Provincial Superior.
Rt. Rev. Vincent Samuel Bishop of Neyyattinkara blessed the new School building on its completion
Students have been appearing for a Scholarship Exam conducted by P.C.M. since 2003. By 2006 House system was introduced in the school.
The School won prizes at National level painting competition on water conservation, conducted at the request of Government of India ministry of water resources based on the theme “Conserve 
Water for the Future.” I.T and G.K Scholarship and Colouring Scholarship Exam were conducted by UNIX Academy
Dreaming for the continuity and future of the school, the present provincial administration decided to upgrade the school to High School and work towards obtaining NOC and Affiliation to CBSE. The Corner Stone was blessed by Fr. T. James, Parish priest and laid by Sr. Sandhya for the High School wing. The Annual Day of 2011 was extra special with Rev. Dr. Jose Aikara C.M, Chairman CISCE board Delhi as the Chief-Guest. Mr.A.T George M.L.A Parassala was the 
Guest of honour.
Students are encouraged to care for environment.
They participate in sports activities to develop a healthy mind in a healthy body.
SYMPHONY OF GRATITUDE
A profound gratitude to our good God for His innumerable blessings we the sisters of Notre Dame at Idichakkapiamoodu have received during the month of March 2013. We have the reason to rejoice and thank God for granting our school a long awaited N.O.C from Kerala Government, the blessing of the magnificent new school building cum a grand and successful Annual Day function.
The new school building was blessed by His Excellency Rt.Rev.Dr.Vincent Samuel S.T.D Bishop of Neyyattinkara and each floor was blessed by the parish priest of Parassala and Idichakkaplamood; the new parish. We were privileged to have Rev.Sr.Sandhya, our Provincial Superior who inaugurated the building by cutting the ribbon. Our joy was enhanced by the presence of our sisters from different communities such as Bangalore, Vaniyakudy and Vettykuzhy. We express our gratitude to the members of Barat Society and Teglen Province for the support in completion of our new school building. A word of appreciation to Sr.Sarika for the timely help. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you dear sisters for your prayerful support to obtain N.O.C. on March 6th 2013.
There was a heavy outpour of rain just two hours before the programme. Needless to mention our dependency in God. It was like showers of blessings on this area. Our students staged the cultural programme and we felicitated special invitees on the stage. Indeed the day was pleasant and memorable one for all of us.
