Entrance into Tertianship 2025

A New Chapter Begins: Five Sisters Enter Tertianship

December 7, 2025, marked a milestone of grace and gratitude as five Indian sisters – Sr. Mary Meena, Sr. Mary Wanmin, Sr. Mary Sumani, Sr. Mary Monika, and Sr. Mary Vijaya—officially entered tertianship, a transformative phase in their journey as Sisters of Notre Dame. This momentous day celebrated not only their dedication but also God’s faithful presence throughout their vocational paths.

The beginning of the tertianship was marked by the Evening Prayer, beautifully led by Sister Mary Sujita. What appeared simple in form carried profound spiritual depth. The gentle rhythm of prayer drew everyone present into a sacred interior silence, creating an atmosphere alive with joy, peace, and unity. It was a moment where the visible and invisible seemed to meet—where hearts opened and spirits were renewed.

The celebration was enriched by the presence of Sister Mary Chatana and the sisters from the provincial house, whose attendance spoke volumes about the bonds that unite this religious community. Their support served as a powerful reminder that no sister walks this path alone. Together, they created a tapestry of encouragement, solidarity, and genuine sisterhood that will sustain these five women through the challenges and blessings ahead.

Tertianship represents more than a phase of formation—it is an invitation to dive deeper into the heart of religious life. Through this period, – Sr. Mary Meena, Sr. Mary Wanmin, Sr. Mary Sumani, Sr. Mary Monika, and Sr. Mary Vijayawill have the opportunity to:

  • Deepen their spiritual roots and intimacy with God
  • Mature in faith through reflection and discernment
  • Strengthen their commitment to serving God and humanity with generous, loving hearts

As they embark on this sacred journey, we hold them in prayer, trusting that God will continue to guide, protect, and bless each step they take. May their tertianship be a season of growth, transformation, and abundant grace.

With grateful hearts, we celebrate this beginning and look forward to witnessing the beautiful unfolding of their vocations in service to God and others.
