Notre Dame Community College, Vaniakudy, Tamil Nadu

Education of girls and empowerment of women are the special thrust of the sisters of Notre Dame, and starting the Community College was seen as a way to realize this aim. Notre Dame Community College was opened in June 2003, to offer job-oriented education and training the young women of the area to be self-reliant.

We offer skill based courses like Diploma in Health Assistant, Diploma in Desktop Publishing, Early Childhood Education, Diploma in Accounting Software. Under three universities like Tamil Nadu Open University, Madurai Kamaraj University and Manon Maniyam Sundaranar University. The placement for the students is made by the college. So far 392 women have finished the courses with excellent records and are employed in different hospitals, computer centers, business marts and banks.

We train them through spiritual and personality development programmes. All curricular and co curricular activities are aimed to develop confidence and leadership qualities. We partake in all the events of their life and family. We continue the relationship with the alumni gathering them every year.
