To live one’s dreams is probably one of the most fulfilling moments in our lives. The sports complex has been raised on the dreams of our past and present Sophia athletes and our Physical Education Teachers with the ever-willing support of the Management of the school.
The foundation of this edifice that was laid with prayers on January 14, 2019, by Rev. FrEugine Lobo has been built to perfection. September 29th, on the feast of the Archangels, was chosen as the day befitting to celebrate the Thanksgiving Mass to bless the Sports Complex.
This magnificent structure is a gift for our girls by the management of the school and the grand celebration began with the Provincial Superior and President, Sr Chetana cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The chief celebrant of the Eucharistic Mass was Fr. Rev Joseph.Ignatius Rodrigues and Concelebrant Fr. Felix Anand. SrM. Chetana, Sr. M.Kripa, Sr. M.Alpana, Sr. M.Anjana, Sr. M. Madhuja Sr. M.Divya, Mr Vishwanath, Principal Architect of Vishwanath associates and his team, Mr KadirVellu, teachers, members of the Parent-Teacher Association, students and workers were present at the mass.
The early morning hours lent grandeur and solemnity to this momentous day.For the blessing and successful completion of this mammoth project, the Management of Sophia High School thanked and felicitated Rev Father Rodrigues, Father Felix Anand, Principal Architect Mr Viswanath and his entire team in Vishwanath Associates, Mr KadirVelu, Consultant Engineer and valuer, Mr Dinesh, CEO and Mr Suresh Kumar H.N. PROJECT ENGINEER of KNCONSTRUCTIONS.
Holistic development is central to the nurturing of young minds and the Sisters of Notre Dame have always kept it as a primary concern. Staff Representatives and state and national level players honoured and expressed their gratitude to Sr Chetana, Provincial Superior and President of Sophia High School, SrKripa, Superior and Secretary of Sophia High School and SrDivya, treasurer of Sophia High School.
Sr. M. Chetana addressed the gathering and placed on record her appreciation and gratitude for all who were responsible for the construction of this magnificent structure.
The Imposing Sports Complex which has been the product of the toil and sweat of the workers were warmly appreciated by the Sisters.The fellowship meal was partaken by all present and a beautiful day ended on a joyous note.
