FINAL PROFESSION 13TH MAY 2023

“Blessed and Committed: Devoted Sisters of Faith Embrace Their Divine Calling”

“Let everything that has breathe praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!” – Psalm 150:6

Praise the Lord, my soul, and exalt His holy name. Let us never forget all His abundant blessings. We, Sr. Mary Shruti, Sr. Mary Christina Kiran, and Sr. Mary Athira, joyfully raise our voices to sing of God’s unwavering love and providential care in our lives. We feel the tangible presence of Jesus in our hearts as He continues to shape us into compassionate witnesses of His boundless love. We are in awe of the mighty, awe-inspiring, and benevolent God for His remarkable acts of strength and unfailing support throughout the years.

May 13, 2023, marked a day overflowing with grace for us as we made our Final Commitment to Jesus, our beloved. This momentous occasion was filled with the blessings of Our Lady of Fatima and the overwhelming love we experienced from our dear Sisters. The solemn ceremony unfolded at the Provincial House in Bangalore, a sacred space that radiated sanctity and reverence.

At 6:30 am, we commenced the day with a special and profoundly meaningful prayer service led by Sr. Mary Shobha and our junior sisters, fervently seeking God’s blessings upon us. At 11:00 am, we gathered to partake in the Holy Eucharist, presided over by His Excellency Most Rev. Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado. The Archbishop’s inspiring homily invigorated fortified and challenged us to embark on our future journey with unwavering trust in the Lord. We were blessed to have our priest brothers, Rev. Fr. Peter Hans, Fr. Anuraj, and Fr. Thomas Masih, concelebrating at the Sacred Altar.

The prayers and presence of our beloved family members infused immense joy into this auspicious occasion. It was a deeply enriching experience that called us to embrace sacrifices and remain steadfast in our convictions and faith. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to dear Sister Mary Ann and her team, Sister Mary Chetana and her team, Sister Mary Kripa, and the entire community for their unwavering love, prayerful support, and constant encouragement. We are eternally grateful for their meticulous planning and arrangements that made this day truly unforgettable. We also extend our thanks to all our Sisters from various Notre Dame affiliations, as well as the priests and sisters from neighbouring communities, and our cherished family members for gracing this solemn celebration with their presence.

Humbly seeking the intercession of Mother Mary, our beloved patroness, we earnestly pray that we may become radiant bearers of Christ to the world. Let us join in prayer, asking Mary, our Mother, to guide us forward as we wholeheartedly engage in our mission of “doing all we can to make the good God known and loved by all who surround us” (St. Julie Billiart).
