FIRST PROFESSION 29TH MAY 2021

|“The Lord has done great things for me, therefore my soul rejoices in God my Saviour.” Our day started with the beautiful surprises of best wishes and the blessings from all the Sisters. The Profession Mass was in the auditorium of Jamalpur Convent. It 1s a great joy for us the newly professed Sisters to share the excitement on our profession day and also God’s provident care during this pandemic and cyclone.

The theme for our profession was “Bear much fruit in Jesus.” We were indeed privileged to have Sister Mary Tessy the Provincial Superior, Sister Mary Prasanna the Director of Temporary Professed Sisters, Sisters Mary Tript, Namrata, Josphine, Sisters from Munger and Jamalpur communities and all our Postulants and the Novices. We really missed the presence of our Provincial Superior dear Sister Mary Chetana, Sister Mary Shobha and all the Sisters but we experienced their presence with us.

We the 13 virgins of Christ with new vestments stood in the line for procession to begin the Eucharist celebration. Promptly at 6:30 am the second year novices escorted us to the altar with an entrance dance. The vibrant music and the melodious singing of the novices made the Holy Mass alive.

“The main celebrant of this day was our parish priest, Reverend Father Kuldeep Kumar. As we pronounced our vows we could experience the presence of the Trinitarian God and Our Lady. We were courageous to profess our vows in front of the assembly. Receiving the ring was such a joyful experience which made us aware that now onwards we are the spouses of Jesus and Him alone. Father Kuldeep in his homily emphasized the fact of bearing much fruit in Jesus and he encouraged and energized us to remain in Jesus always and to bear much fruit in our mission by carrying out the mission of Jesus in deep faith and love. We were overjoyed when Sister Mary Tessy, Sister Mary Prasanna and all the Sisters welcomed us to the Professed Sisters’ Circle. Soon after the Holy Mass the Sisters and the Novices greeted us with the melodious congratulatory song followed by the delicious breakfast.

We gratefully extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sister Mary Tessy, Sister Mary Chetana and each one of you dear Sisters for all the love, care above all the constant prayerful support to make this day a blessed one for us. May our living and loving God keep us alwaysin His mighty hands.
